Worship with us Sundays at 10AM!
Visiting a new church can be intimidating and we completely get it. Whether you’ve gone to church your whole life or never stepped foot in one, our hope is that when you arrive you feel welcomed, comfortable, and right at home! You don’t need to dress up or pretend to have it all together; just come as you are! Did you miss a Sunday? Then make sure to check out previous services on our YouTube Page.
Where do I go when I arrive?
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll see signs directing you toward the main entrance. Once inside, our welcome team will be there to greet you and point you toward the restrooms or coffee station.
What should I wear?
You’ll see people in everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and button-downs. We just ask that your clothing choices are appropriate for a family-friendly environment. Beyond that, we care about you, not your wardrobe.
What is the service like?
Our services typically last about 60-75 minutes. We value your time and always start right at 10am, so we recommend arriving about 10 to 15 minutes early to grab a cup of coffee and find a spot! A typical service includes:
Family-Centered: A welcoming, family-friendly environment where people of all ages are invited to worship, learn, and serve together.
Worship: A mix of contemporary music and timeless hymns led.
Sacraments: Regular celebrations of Holy Communion and Baptism as a church community.
Offering: An opportunity during the service to worship by giving. This is a practice for our regular church family to trust God with our wealth and support the ministries of our church.
Message: A practical, Bible-based sermon from our pastor or guest speakers that applies directly to everyday life.
Fellowship Lunch: Following worship, we gather in the Fellowship Hall for a delicious potluck meal. We would love for you to stay, eat, and let us get to know you. No need to bring a dish; our church members rotate bringing food!
Note: We will never make you stand up as a visitor or pressure you to give. You are our guest!
What about my kids?
At Prairieview, we intentionally welcome the next generation into worship with us! To help create a peaceful and engaging environment for our families, we encourage the following options:
Family Area in the Lobby: This designated area with couches provides space for families to view the service while tending to busy or crying children. There are extra activities, toys, and puzzles available in this space
“Quiet Play Time”: We invite families to use the phrase, "It's quiet play time," when the service starts and through the closing song. This shared language helps kids understand that worship is a special time. Let’s also celebrate and encourage children when they engage well in quiet play, reinforcing this positive behavior.
Activity Bags: Available near the sound booth are activity bags for kids that contain quiet toys, coloring pages, and books to help kids stay engaged in quiet play during the service.
Nursery & Preschool: We have a nursery (for infants up to 3 years old) and preschool (for 3-4 years old) classrooms open most Sundays throughout the entire service.
Kid’s Club: We also offer Kids Club during the service (for children in grades K-5). Families begin together in the Sanctuary for worship, offering, and communion. Children are then dismissed to Kids Club, where they dive into a Bible lesson tailored to their lives. Kids will return during the closing song.
All children attending nursery, preschool, or kids club programs must check in at our Kids Check-In Station located near the nursery. The Check-In Station is open each Sunday starting at 9:45AM and will remain available until kids are dismissed for Kids Club.
